Patient Information

Insurance

We accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield (including AllKIDS), Tri-Care and Medicaid Insurance.  We will not refuse to see a child if there is no insurance.  However, we will provide the forms and assistance to apply for Medicaid or AllKIDS.  It is our mission to have every patient covered under some form of medical insurance.

CO-pAYS

Co-Pays are due at the time of service.  The amount of your child’s co-pay is determined by your insurance provider.

HOSPITAL AFFILIATION

Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children

WOMEN, INFANTS, & CHILDREN

NHCC serves as a satellite office for the Madison County Health Department.  Officials are at the clinic on Fridays to administer the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program.  WIC is a federally funded program that provides free food and nutritional education to pregnant and breast feeding women, children up to age five, along with free baby formula to infants.  Nutritionists and nurses assess each applicant and tailor a food and counseling package to meet that person’s needs. Information about the program and what it takes to qualify can be obtained at this office.  You can make appointments for the WIC program by calling the Madison County Health Department at its main number 256-539-3711.  You can reach WIC officials at the NHCC on Fridays at 256-723-4199.

Appointments

The clinic is open Monday- Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 a.m. - noon. We are NOT a Walk-In Clinic!  You must make an appointment for your child. Sick visits are available but they do fill up quickly so please call EARLY. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first visit to allow time for registration and paper work.  We ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time on subsequent visits.  It is our goal to limit wait time as much as possible. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment we may have to reschedule that appointment.
